Are the tires you use new or used?
The majority of the tires we use are used. They have been taken off equipment because they have been punctured or just worn out. Most of the tires have been punctured in one of the sidewalls. That would be the side we would cut off. We acquire tires from mines and tire recyclers across the United States.

How much water do your rubber tire tanks hold?
An 8' rubber tank typically holds about 650 to 750 gallons of water. A 10' rubber tank typically holds about 1,000 gallons of water.
What to use for the bottom?
When installing a water tank portland cement can be used. A small amount of gravel and water will be needed. There is no need to call your local concrete plant. This can very easily be done by yourself. You must have the tank on a good firm base. Only 5-6 inches of cement in the center of the tank is necessary. Be sure to mix the cement up so it is good and runny. This will allow it to run down under the bead and insure a good seal.
Why use rubber tire tanks instead of others?
- INDESTRUCTIBLE!!!
- Cement, bentonite or steel plates are used for bottoms.
- If steel plates are installed, they have a handy hook in the center to pick them up and to move them around.
- Portable tanks are made with steel bottoms.
- You can lag screw floats to the side of the tank.
- Easy to install center feed and heat riser with drains and overflows.
- Livestock can't damage when pushing or stepping on them.
- Safe on livestock - fabric tires are used in production.
- They can be installed in the winter no matter how cold, by using bentonite.
- Water tanks are 4 to 6 inches thick for good insulation during cold months.
- We have several stocked dealers. Delivery is also available from our Production Headquarters.
- 5' to 13' sizes are available. We can also produce tanks to your specifications.
